Vogue “doesn’t intend” to work with Kanye West again after Star’s controversial actions and statements
Vogue announced that it will no longer be working with Kanye West after a spate of controversy surrounding the 45-year-old rapper.
A spokesperson for the fashion magazine told Page Six that Vogue and its editor-in-chief Anna Wintour have no intention of working with rapper Gold Digger in the future.
The spokesperson cited West’s anti-Semitic tirades, as well as his support for the controversial White Lives Matter movement, as key reasons why they decided to distance themselves.

Wintour, 72, has a long relationship with Ye and invited him to the Met Gala for the first time in 2009. Last month she was pictured modeling sunglasses for West’s Yeezy brand.
West, who appeared on a Vogue cover with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian in 2014, recently sparked backlash and said he was committing “Death Fraud 3 against Jews.”
At the time of his first anti-Semitic tweets, West claimed he couldn’t be anti-Semitic because he believed all black people were also Jews.
“The funny thing is that I can’t actually be an anti-Semite because black people are actually Jews too. You guys have been toying with me and trying to judge anyone who goes against your agenda,” Kanye wrote last week.

He later told Piers Morgan: “I will say I’m sorry for the people I hurt with the ‘death scam’. [comments].
“I feel like I’ve hurt and created confusion. And I feel sorry for the families of people who were unrelated to the trauma I went through and for using my platform where you say hurt people hurt people. I was injured.’
The rapper and fashion designer said on Piers Morgan Uncensored that he’s only referring to certain Jewish people who he thinks screwed him.
Despite the half-hearted apology, Kanye said he had “absolutely no regrets” about his comments – which prompted a major backlash that saw some of his social media accounts suspended and sponsorships halted.
West also stormed out of the interview mid-interview, The Sun said.

West sparked controversy when he wore a White Lives Matter shirt at his surprise Yeezy runway show in Paris earlier this month.
The Donda rapper posted a photo of the long-sleeved black shirt to his Instagram account on Wednesday with the caption, “Here’s my latest response when people ask me why I made a t-shirt that said white one Lives matter… THEY DO.”
Kanye also later took to Instagram to troll Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey, 25, after she defended Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson for criticizing his White Lives Matter shirts.

West shared a screenshot of his Google results with an E! News article about Bieber’s support for Karefa-Johnson.
‘Wait, am I canceled again??? Justin please let me know,” he captioned the Instagram post.
In another searing post, he went after Hailey again, telling Justin to “get you girls before I get angry,” before striking out Once again John Legend and Karefa-Johnson.
“Just want to let everyone know that there was fashion this week too,” he began the post. “There was a big thing called Fashion Week that was really a month and it had some very well made, crazy, overpriced clothes on display.”
“It wasn’t just about my paradigm shift t-shirt. I’m just kidding with my t-shirt, nothing happened at all the shows, but my t-shirt,” he added, “remember my only t-shirt got all the attention.”

Karefa-Johnson said the shirts were “deeply offensive, violent and dangerous”.
West initially reacted with contempt, poking fun at her outfits online and saying she had no understanding of fashion, before dismissing his comments.
He later claimed he reconciled with Karefa-Johnson on Instagram, writing, “I DON’T LET PEOPLE GO TO BED because I thought I hadn’t met GABRIELLE for two hours today at 5pm then we went to dinner at FERDIE.” Ferdie is a popular Italian restaurant in New York City.
Vogue immediately championed their publisher, releasing a statement that read, “Vogue stands behind Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, our global fashion editor and longtime collaborator. She was personally attacked and bullied. It’s not acceptable.
“Now voices like hers are needed more than ever, and in a private meeting with Ye today, she once again spoke her truth on how she felt best, on her terms.”
Vogue is just the latest brand to sever ties with West.
Balenciaga and Gap are also reportedly through with the rapper, with Balenciaga citing his racist rhetoric.
