The FBI seized documents related to Iran’s missile program and China in a raid in Mar-a-Lago

The contents of the classified documents, recovered from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, contained information about Iran’s missile program and anti-China intelligence work, the Washington Post reported on Friday.
According to Post experts, if this information leaks, people supporting US intelligence efforts could be put at risk and collection methods exposed. The US could also face retaliation from enemies.
Sources told the Post that the classified documents related to Iran and China were among the most sensitive found in the FBI’s Aug. 8 raid on Mar-a-Lago.
Trump pushed back in a statement Friday afternoon, raging at the FBI, Justice Department and national archives, which have launched investigations into missing documents from the Republican’s tenure. He also suggested that the documents found could be smuggled in or tampered with.
“The FBI and Department of Justice who paid a man $200,000 to spy on me and put a $1 million bounty on his head to try to prove a totally fabricated and fabricated “dossier” on me (they burst into flames! ), are now continuously spreading the document hoax to the fake news,” said the ex-president.

Former President Donald Trump has offered a number of defenses for why the information leaked into his club and members-only Florida home, including that a president can release information “even if he thinks about it.”
“Who could ever trust corrupt, armed authorities, and that includes NARA, who flout our Constitution and the Bill of Rights to keep and secure records, especially since they’ve lost millions and millions of pages of information from past Presidents.” , Trump continued. “Besides, who knows what NARA and the FBI put in or subtract from documents – we’ll never know, will we?”
The Washington Post reported in August that some of the documents referred to another country’s nuclear capabilities, but the newspaper’s sources would not say whether Iran or China were the countries involved.
Trump denied the report on Truth Social.
“The nuclear weapons issue is a hoax, just like Russia, Russia, Russia was a hoax, two impeachments were a hoax, the Mueller investigation was a hoax, and so much more. Same seedy people involved,” he wrote.
Officials at the National Archives began trying to get records back from Trump last year, noting in a letter that correspondence between the former president and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was missing.
Overall, it was found that more than 300 documents seized from Trump were classified.
About 13,000 documents were seized in the Aug. 8 raid, including 103 classified and 18 top secret documents.
A cache of documents removed from the White House, including 184 classified documents and 25 top secret documents, was previously voluntarily sent to the National Archives and Records Administration.
And in June, Trump’s representatives responded to a subpoena by returning 38 classified documents.
Trump has offered a number of defenses as to why the classified information made it into his club and members-only home in Florida, located at Tony Palm Beach.
Among them, the ex-president said a president can release information “even if he thinks about it.”
“No other president has been harassed and persecuted like we have,” Trump said, while falsely implying that other ex-presidents have made off with a plethora of documents.
He also lashed out at the archive, calling it a “seriously radical left” entity that was “woke and busted.”
The staff of the National Archives consists of archivists, librarians, curators and other archivists.
