Aaron Ramsey is enjoying reliving Wales’ glorious run to the semi-finals of Euro 2016 as he rebuilds his career on the French Riviera with Nice.
The 31-year-old joined France this summer after a turbulent few years struggling with injuries at Juventus and missing a crucial penalty in the Europa League final last year on loan to Rangers.
Nice match at the Allianz Riviera stadium where England suffered a humiliating defeat by Iceland in 2016.

But Ramsey has happier memories of this summer and the midfielder is relishing a chance to return to old places ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
“I scored on my debut in Toulouse where we had such a special night with Wales beating Russia and we also played in Lille and had a good night there,” he said.
“Playing in these stadiums brought back really happy memories.”

Speaking on his first few months in Ligue 1, the midfielder added: “I’m enjoying playing again, have a few minutes under my belt… there are worse places to play football.”
Ramsey has spoken to former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger about his new adventure.
“He thought it was a good move,” said the Wenger, who spent a decade under Wenger in north London. “It was nice to see him and talk to him again. We had 10 years together.
“It was nice to look back on the past, go through old stories – but also talk about what’s to come, the project here, the World Cup and what he’s up to with FIFA (Wenger works as Chief of Global Football Development).
“Of course he was familiar with the project here – he was enthusiastic about everything. I think he keeps an eye on most of the players who have played under him at Arsenal. He’ll definitely keep an eye on me and how we’re doing here.’

Ramsey and Wales are hoping for more heroics in their first World Cup since 1958. The midfielder insists their only goal right now is “win our first game” against the USA before they meet Iran and England. “These tournaments are all about momentum,” he said. “Hopefully we can get off to a good start and that can put us in a really good place where we can move on and get out of the group and progress.”
Ramsey signed a three-year deal with Nice. They are owned by English billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has recently been linked with buying a stake in Manchester United. Their squad includes Kasper Schmeichel, Ross Barkley and Nicolas Pepe but Nice sit 13th ahead of Sunday’s game against Nantes.
