Mysterious Masks is the event-exclusive Special Research during the Pokémon GO Halloween Event. Help Professor Willow and Rhi earn encounters with Yamask and Galar Yamask during this time. This will run throughout the Halloween event, giving Trainers time to complete the tasks from Thursday, October 1 at 8:00 p.m. 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time complete in this research event.

The Mysterious Masks consist of four sections that allow trainers to earn awards for individually completing each task for each section, and an additional award at the end. Players should note that each subsequent encounter with Yamask or Galarian Yamask increases the likelihood of a Shiny spawning.
