Jadon Sancho disappoints with what could be the final blow to his World Cup hopes
Manchester United struck a late equalizer at Stamford Bridge on Saturday to pick up some of the points against Chelsea in a game underwhelmed for their majority.
In an intense tactical battle, Blues boss Graham Potter blinked early by tapping Marc Cucurella before half-time to change the system before both managers made tentative changes as the players tried to grow into the game.
Jorginho’s penalty was canceled out by Casemiro late on, leaving United fifth in the Premier League table, a point behind Chelsea in fourth.

Kepa – Made a number of important saves to keep United in check and were incredibly unlucky to equalize at the last breath. Didn’t deserve to lose. 7.5
Trevoh Chalobah – A few loose moments but largely solid in defense for Chelsea. Quietly went about his business and hit the bar. 7
Thiago Silva He used all his experience to keep Rashford’s threat to a minimum. Definitely worth another contract. 7
Marc Cucurella- Lasted 36 minutes before being sacrificed in place of Mateo Kovacic to accommodate a system change. 6

Ruben Loftus Cheek – Seems to be back in top form. Carried the ball forward with power and purpose. Will surely catch Gareth Southgate’s eye. 7
Ben Chilwell – Getting stronger as the season progresses. A pass to build up Aubameyang was particularly easy on the eyes. return to form. 6.5

mason mountain – A lot of desire and effort with quality on top of that. It looked the most likely to unlock United’s defence. 7.5
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Back in the team and got Chelsea’s best chances without taking them. 6.5
Raheem Sterling – His drive and directness were a thorn in the side of United’s rearguard, but the end product fell short of his usual standards. 6.5

David De Gea – Had very little to do in United’s goal but won Jorginho’s penalty as his defense managed to keep Chelsea at bay. 6.5
Diogo Dalot – A strong display from right-back. Was disciplined and tough on fans’ defense and attacks when he could. 6.5
Raphael Varane – Left the pitch in tears after picking up an injury which – according to the France international’s reaction – will rule him out of the World Cup. 7

Christian Eriksen He kept checking but couldn’t unlock Chelsea’s mean defense. Finally replaced. 6.5
Bruno Fernandes – A frustrating night for the Portugal international. Had some decent openings but couldn’t unlock the door. 7
Jadon Sancho- Ineffective and substituted after 52 minutes. Can’t have any complaints – that was a blow to his World Cup hopes. 5.5
