And despite the muted response, Geri Horner, née Halliwell, was given another chance to become a movie star with her appearance in Gran Turismo.
The former pop star, 50, attended a photocall for the new film, which tells the true story of a young video game prodigy who becomes a real-life racer.
She was joined by her co-star Orlando Bloom, who looked chic in a white suit with green and blue splatters on both sides and no top underneath.
Geri, who is married to Formula 1 boss Christian Horner, wore her signature white attire – skinny trousers and a sleeveless blouse.

Geri looked stunning in her white ensemble of skinny jeans and blouse with a thin black tie at the neck.
Her performance in the film – in which she plays the main character’s mother – is poignant as she is connected to car racing through her husband Christian, the team principal of the Formula 1 team Red Bull.
Geri’s other acting credits also include her appearance as Samantha’s friend Phoebe in Season 6, in which her English accent was mocked.
The film tells the true story of Jann Mardenborough, who became the third GT Academy winner in 2011 and, at just 19, the youngest ever to do so.
Although he never sat in a real racing car, he prevailed against 90,000 competitors and won the GT Academy. This secured him the chance to compete in the 24-hour race in Dubai.
Archie Madekwe plays Jann Mardenborough, Djimon Hounsou plays his father Geri, his mother Orlando Bloom as Danny Moore, a character based on real-life GT Academy founder Darren Cox, and David Harbor as Jann’s trainer Jack Salter.

The film is directed by Neill Blomkamp (District 9) from a screenplay by Zach Baylin (Creed III), Will Dunn (Ms. Marvel) and Jason Hall (American Sniper) and hits theaters August 11.
In 1997, the video game Gran Turismo was released in Japan by Polyphony and Yamauchi. The makers have revolutionized the racing game genre by creating an incredibly authentic driving simulation game.
The company released its latest and greatest game – Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 last spring.
The film will be officially released and shown in theaters on August 11, 2023.
