Problem actor Ezra Miller is set to star in Warner Bros’ upcoming $250 million superhero film The Flash, but after being at the center of controversy for the past six months, rumors of a possible replacement have been circulating.
George MacKay is reportedly top of the list to replace Miller in the role of Barry Allen in future episodes of the DC Comics film, which will be released in June 2023, MovieWeb.com reported, citing verified sources on Twitter.
Fans on social media have fueled the rumours, with some even creating fan art replacing Miller with MacKay.
The rumors come after a string of arrests and reports of erratic behavior by the ‘Flash’ actor stretching from Hawaii to Vermont.

Miller was reportedly filming reshoots for The Flash last week, and the script for the sequel is already in the works, MovieWeb reported
Earlier this month, Miller appeared in the Vermont Superior Court, where he pleaded not guilty to stealing three bottles of alcohol from her Vermont neighbor’s property.
Miller was told to stay away from neighbor Isaac Winokur and faces 26 years in prison if found guilty of the charges and more than $2,000 in fines.
They are accused of stealing a bottle of gin, vodka and rum from Winokur’s pantry around 5pm on May 1.
The charges are the latest in a string of legal troubles for the actor.
The Fantastic Beasts star has been whisked away to a meeting with Warner Bros. bosses as his ongoing public troubles threaten to jeopardize the already postponed $250 million film.
Some verified insiders posted their speculations on Twitter this week, while others say nothing is set in stone until The Flash hits its 2023 release date.
An artist on Instagram @Clements.Ink shared a piece of fan art depicting MacKay replacing Miller as The Flash.
The 1917 star is pictured in a costume very similar to one worn by Grant Gustin on The Flash on The CW.
Despite mounting rumors, it’s not known if DC and Warner Bros. have cut ties with the actor, as Miller reportedly began filming reshoots for The Flash last week and the script for the sequel is already in the works, MovieWeb reported.

Miller was arrested twice this year in Hawaii, including for disorderly conduct and harassment at a karaoke bar.
Also earlier this year, the parents of 18-year-old Native American activist Tokata Iron Eyes filed a protective order against Miller, accusing the actor of inappropriate behavior with her as a minor from the age of 12.

A Massachusetts mother was granted a temporary protection order against Miller in June on behalf of the woman’s 12-year-old child.
It was granted after the judge found the child faced a “substantial likelihood of imminent threat of molestation”.
A mother of three and her young children have also moved into their Vermont farmhouse, which is said to be filled with guns and large quantities of marijuana.
The children’s father claims the 25-year-old mother left her island home in Hawaii with Miller in April, taking the children with her without his consent.

A revelation also claimed they ran a secret harem out of his Vermont ranch, according to a recent synopsis of the actor’s arrest – a de facto convent where the star asserted himself as a Jesus figure over a group of women.

Miller, who uses she/them pronouns, was arrested twice in Hawaii in March and charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and assault.
They were accused of yelling and verbally abusing customers as they sang karaoke at a bar in Hilo and stealing the microphone from a 23-year-old woman.
At a court hearing about the incident, they pleaded no misconduct challenge and paid a $500 fine.
A couple issued a restraining order against her after Miller barged into her bedroom and threatened to kill her, then stole her passport and wallet.
In April, the star was accused of throwing a chair at a 26-year-old woman and hitting her at a private party in Pahoa.

In August, Miller announced they were seeking treatment for “complex mental health issues” after Hollywood bosses were forced to reconsider their future in the DC film universe.
They said in a statement: “Having recently endured a period of intense crisis, I now understand that I suffer from complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment.”
“I would like to apologize to anyone I have alarmed and upset with my behavior in the past. I am committed to doing the work necessary to return me to a healthy, safe and productive phase in my life.’
