Bindi Irwin is ravaged by trolls who brand her ‘pathetic’ for her reaction to the American farm owner
Bindi Irwin has been criticized for responding to an American farmer’s call for help after she lost 99% of her birds to bird flu.
Taylor Blake, also known as the Eco Sister on Twitter, sent a distressed message to the Irwin clan last week after she thought her beloved emu and TikTok fan favorite Emmanuel had contracted the virus.
She offered to fly one of her contacts or members of Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital to her Knuckle Bump Farm in South Florida to rescue Emmanuel.
Bindi replied that she wasn’t able to offer too much support as the team at her hospital had never treated birds with avian influenza but sent her “love and prayers” to the farm.
Bindi Irwin has been slammed for a “pathetic and useless” reaction after a fan asked her for help with a “massive tragedy”.
Some fans flocked to social media to slam Bindi’s response, with one calling it “pathetic” and “useless”.
“What a pathetic, useless answer. Zero effort to help when you’re in a supposedly unique position to use your influence and contacts to actually help her. Thoughts and prayers are cheap. You’re plain and that’s polite,’ they said.
“Thoughts and prayers are nice but is there anyone you would recommend as your family has been in the field for years?” another agreed.
A third person wrote: “So you don’t know anyone in your network who could help? One would assume that instead of writing this form you wouldn’t have a hard time asking around or spreading the word in the hope that someone with the right experience would come forward[al] Letter of reply pretending you are interested.’

While some fans criticized Bindi, others praised her for supporting and responding to Taylor.
“I’m sure just the reaction lifted Emmanuel’s spirit of recovery. That’s all you can hope for,” said one person.
“I think it’s so cool that Bindi Irwin answered. I’m still praying for Emmanuel,” agreed another.
“Thank you, Irwins. We are all [praying] for Emmanuel. He’s loved all over the world,” said a third.
Taylor also thanked Bindi, writing: “Thank you for taking the time to write this Bindi, your response alone means more than you know. Please send my love to your family!’

Taylor has shared the story of her ailing emu Emmanuel on social media since her farm in South Florida was swept away by the epidemic.
She explained that she lost every chicken and duck, as well as many geese, turkeys and swans.
Taylor sent a desperate plea to the Irwin clan after believing Emmanuel had contracted the flu, but later tested negative for the virus.

She expressed her admiration for the family and asked for advice.
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a fan of your family. I am reaching out to you right now in utter desperation,” she tweeted.
“I need help to save my emu, Emmanuel. I’ll pay to fly anyone to us if they can help, no questions asked.’
Taylor has been sharing her story on social media since her knuckle bump farm in south Florida was hit by the epidemic. Her beloved bird, Emmanuel, was the last bird to contract the flu, prompting Taylor to send a desperate plea to the Irwin clan
Bindi replied: “Thank you for reaching out.”
“Although our Wildlife Hospital has treated over 100,000 animals including emus, we have never treated an emu with this specific disease,” she added.
“We have to rely on our fellow animal experts who have more experience with this avian flu.”
Bindi continued: “Our hearts are with you and we appreciate your caring for you so much and your compassion for dear Emmanuel.
“We believe that we must all have love for each and every animal.
“We hope that someone with more experience in their field can be of assistance. We send love and light from our entire family.”
