A 12-year-old boy was killed yesterday after a garage wall collapsed on a property in Essex.
Police were called to the scene in St John’s Road, Clacton, just before 7pm after two people were reportedly injured.
A man in his 30s was rescued from the rubble and suffered an arm injury, Essex Police said.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 12-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police confirmed the two knew each other.
The boy’s death is treated as non-suspicious and a file is prepared for the coroner.
Detective Inspector James Hardingham, who led the investigation, said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of those affected at this sad time.
“We continue our investigations to determine the facts that led to the collapse of the wall.
“If anyone has any information that can help us, or anyone who was in St John’s Road just before 7pm last night and saw something that might help our investigation, they should give us a call.”
Police also said the home to which the garage was attached has been declared safe.
They demanded that anyone who may have information about the incident, including CCTV, dashcam or other footage, should contact them.
